With over six years of real estate experience and more than $28 million in closed sales, Kelly Powers has built a full-time career rooted in trust, results, and lasting relationships. Specializing exclusively in the Amelia Island and Yulee markets, Kelly takes a hyperlocal approach—offering clients deep insight into the community, lifestyle, and real estate opportunities that make the area so special.
Kelly brings a refined and strategic lens to every transaction, whether she’s marketing historic coastal homes or negotiating new construction deals. Her professional edge comes from a unique blend of market knowledge and creative strategy, grounded in her formal education and early career in the arts.
A native of Westport, Connecticut, Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Art History from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Fashion Design from Polimoda in Florence, Italy. After launching her fashion career in New York—where she worked on photo shoots and runway shows during New York Fashion Week—she transitioned into real estate, blending her aesthetic sensibility with a personal passion for homes, design, and storytelling.
Today, Kelly leads full-scale marketing campaigns that reflect the unique character of every listing. From staging and custom listing copy to professional photography and targeted digital advertising, she provides white-glove service tailored to each client and property.
She has a deep appreciation for architecturally significant and historic homes, shaped by her own experience growing up in an 1840-era house, and currently renovating an 1879 residence. Kelly also has a background in real estate investing and design, having bought, sold, and renovated properties across the country—including mixed-use buildings and projects funded by historic grants.
As someone who moved frequently before settling in Amelia Island, Kelly relates closely to out-of-town buyers. She knows how overwhelming relocation can be and is dedicated to making it a smooth, welcoming, and even joyful process. She offers not only real estate guidance but also local insights—from family-friendly activities and playgrounds to restaurant recommendations for those navigating food allergies, as she personally lives with Celiac Disease and life-threatening allergies to tree nuts and shellfish.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kelly is a passionate community advocate. She currently serves as President of the Amelia Island Book Festival, alongside her husband, author, Kevin Powers, the current Honorary Chairman, helping to improve literacy across Nassau County.
